The Games will be played on WFDF conform pitches, with little restrictions in the width dimensions of the maximum extension (about 35 meter width with the restrain lines necessary) two times four fields on the Stadionvorwiese and the Center Court in the ASV stadium (see venue) .

For the EYUC 2013 the latest WFDF Rules of Ultimate 2013 (pdf) are effective.

Concerning time cap and points cap rules, both U17 divisions will play to 15 points, half time is at eight points (or at least after 45 minutes and then one more point on the leading score). Both Junior divisions play to 17 points, half time is at nine points (or at least after 55 minutes and then one more point on the leading score). If the maximum score won’t be reached the games end after 80 minutes and two points on the leading score (both U17 divisions, exception: at a score of 14 only one point on the leading score) or after 100 minutes and two points on the leading score (both Junior divisions, exception: at a score of 16 only one point on the leading score). For all four divisions half time has 10 minutes, there are maximum two time outs per half and team (in total maximum four).

Junior Open Format

There are 4 initial pools A, B, C and D of 4 teams, each teams plays the other teams in their pool once. The top 2 teams in each pool advance to power pools, the bottom 2 teams go to lower pools; each team carries over 1 match

The two power pools are named E and F, two times 4 teams play each other, but carry over one result from the initial pool. The top two qualify directly for quarters, 3rd and 4th placed continue in prequarters.

The two lower pools are named G and H, two times 4 teams play each other, but carry over one result from the initial pool. The top two continue in prequarters, 3rd and 4th placed continue in placements playoffs.

Prequarters or backdoor games: The 3rd placed teams of the power pools play an elimination match against the 2nd placed of the lower pools (3E vs. 2H and 3F vs. 2G). The 4rd placed teams of the power pools play an elimination match against the 1st placed of the lower pools (4E vs. 1H and 4F vs. 1 G). The winners advance to championships playoffs, losers progress to placement playoffs.

The championship playoffs as 8 team elimination playoffs consist of quarters, semis and finals. All winners advance in competition, losers progress to appropriate placement games.

Junior Women Format

There are two initial pools of 6 teams, where each team plays the other teams in its pool once. The top four teams of each pool advance to championship playoffs. The bottom two teams proceed in the placement playoffs

Championship Playoffs: The 8 team elimination playoffs consist of quarters, semis and finals. All winners advance in competition, losers progress to appropriate placement games.

Placement Playoffs: The remaining 4 teams meet in the elimination playoffs of crossovers and finals. All winners advance in competition, losers progress to appropriate placement games.

U 17 Open Format

There’s one initial pool of 8 teams, each team plays the other teams in its pool once (Round Robin).  The top 4 teams advance to championship playoffs, the lower 4 teams proceed to placements playoffs.

The championship playoffs as 4 team elimination playoffs consist of semis (1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3) and finals. The winners advance in competition, losers progress to appropriate placement games.

Placement playoffs: No crossovers, but immediate placement matches for 5th and 7th place.

U 17 Girls Format

There’s only one initial pool of 5 teams, where each team will play the 4 other teams in the pool (Round Robin). The top 2 teams advance to a top match, the bottom three teams proceed to a middle pool. 

The championship playoffs consist of the top 4 team semis and finals. All winners advance in competition, losers progress to appropriate placement games.               

Consolation: The 3rd team from the middle pool may play a match against female staff.
